Project Management

Projects are used to organize and track time across different clients, initiatives, or work streams.

Creating Projects (Admin/Manager)

  1. 1.Go to Projects page and click "New Project"
  2. 2.Enter project name, client name, and description
  3. 3.Set project status (Active/Inactive)
  4. 4.Assign team members who should have access

Project Limits

Your plan determines your project limits. Upgrade to the Everything plan for unlimited projects.

Project Assignments

Control which team members can log time to specific projects:

Assign Users: From the project detail page or Team page, assign specific users to the project
Visibility: Users can only see and log time to projects they're assigned to
Remove Access: Unassign users who should no longer log time to the project

Project Tasks & Budgets

Project Tasks

Break down projects into specific tasks for more granular tracking. Each task can have its own estimated hours and billable rate.

Task Features:
  • Estimates: Set estimated hours per task to track progress
  • Rates: Define specific billable rates for different activities (e.g., Development vs Design)
  • Assignment: Assign specific tasks to users

Budget Tracking

Set monetary or hourly budgets for your projects to prevent overruns.

Budget Types

Track by Total Cost (Currency) or Total Hours depending on your contract.

Real-time Monitoring

View progress bars showing consumed vs remaining budget on the Project Dashboard.

Special Time Categories

In addition to regular projects, the system includes special categories that don't require project creation:

Non-project work: meetings, emails, admin tasks
